Presentation

The Intensive Program project was a three-year study Erasmus programme (15-day meetings involving teachers and students from several Bachelor level institutions) involving several European countries: France, Portugal, Spain, Finland and Romania. It took place from 2010 to 2013 in the heart of the Landes forest in France, the hills of Palencia in Spain and in the marshlands of Tampere, in Finland.

The chosen theme was the analysis of the risks and the opportunities of a forestry development policy in Europe after a hurricane and in the context of sustainable development. Lecturers and supervisors were teachers from vocational schools, academics, experts from private and public institutes and industries. Their different approaches provided students with an objective global overview of the impacts of hurricanes in Europe.
